Designtree add

They have a mission - to create beautiful and lasting pieces.

Just one look at the Frankie Pendant Lamp shows the unique skill of Wellington furniture and lighting designers Tim Wigmore and Rebecca Asquith of Designtree.

The two met at Weta back in 2000 and after leaving to pursue their own eponymous creative enterprises, collaborated on many projects. It was from there that Designtree was born.

The pair have a living and working relationship, spending six days a week crafting beautiful designs. They're even generously giving away one of their must-have lamp designs with selected Defign magazines and this is something you do not want to miss out on.

With a solid industrial appeal, the Frankie Pendant Lamp is a combination of timber and felt, along with red or black braided cable, although these lamps can be customised on request.

One of its interesting features is the fact it can be stretched lengthways to provide lighting appropriate for longer tables, bars and hallways, making this stylish design suitable for both commercial and domestic spaces.

Business has been steady for the hard working couple, who now supply stockists throughout Australasia as well as managing online orders.

You can read more about Designtree's unique products in this year's copy of Defign. For your chance to win one of their lamps, purchase your issue from Countdown supermarkets. You can also purchase Defign from key New World stores, Relay bookstores, Paper Plus and independent booksellers from 2nd of February. Or contact ADNZ direct on (03) 358 0112.
