Internationally acclaimed Dutch architect, lecturer and urbanist Jacob van Rijs will be giving a free seminar in Auckland and Christchurch courtesy of the Metro Performance Glass team.
Metro Performance Glass Marketing Manager Mike Stanford says he is very excited to welcome a designer of the calibre of Jacob van Rijs to New Zealand, especially because of his outstanding work with glass.

Jacob is one of the founders of Rotterdam based architecture and urban planning firm MVRDV, which is responsible for the Rotterdam Markthal, which features the largest glass façade in the world.

"We are absolutely thrilled to bring Jacob van Rijs to Auckland and Christchurch for what we believe is his first time in New Zealand. We can’t wait to be inspired by his work and we would encourage anyone interested in architecture to come along to this free event," Mike Stanford says.

Jacob van Rijs set up MVRDV together with Winy Maas and Nathalie de Vries in 1991. He travels the world lecturing, taking part in international juries and teaching at universities and institutes.
